If you're using melee attacks (which you should for bonus time), you'll be getting invincibility frames off the special melee command, but if your partner shoots an enemy out of stun, you'll not be able to perform your special melee attack and won't be able to get the invincibility frames that you might have been counting on. If you and your partner are together, it's tougher to avoid enemies as if an enemy is attacking your partner and your partner evades, you might still be hit (say you were avoiding another enemy attack aimed at you and moved in a hurry). You kill the enemies that appear in your section, your partner kills enemies that appear in another section. After hitting the time bonuses and collecting combo bonuses if applicable, generally stay in one area.
If you have to choose between melee kill or maintaining a chain, maintain the chain.ģ) Usually try to keep some distance from your partner, maybe half the map.
